UK POSTAGE

The cost of shipping your goods is based on the weight of your goods and current Royal Mail Postage rates. We also use a Parcel Delivery Service. This is used when total postage cost's exceed £8.95, this means that the maximum postage you will pay is £8.95. All postage to the UK mainland and Northern Ireland is delivered using our standard rate based on Royal Mail Postage rates, in certain circumstances we use Recorded Delivery, this ensures safe delivery, this method is only used when rare or expensive items are dispatched. We like to dispatch your goods within 24 to 48 hours of receiving your payment, however, we do ask that you please allow 2 - 5 working days for delivery. Items that are "Out Of Stock" will take longer.

Parcels weighing 0.10kg to 2.24kg Royal Mail Standard Rates

Parcels weighing 2.25kg and above Parcel Delivery Service £8.95

Postage refunds are automatically given to customers who have paid to much postage.

Europe And Rest Of World Postage

The cost of shipping to European countries and the Rest Of The World, is based on approximate postage cost. Through our experience we have found that quite often after an order has been sent the postage cost was less than expected. When this happens we refund any additional postage the customer has paid. We have never made money from postage and never will. Where light weight "Jiffy" bags can be used, we use them, this keeps the weight of your parcel down, and with it, the cost. We will post to almost anywhere in the world, if you would like to know in advance how much postage you are likely to pay then contact us at Christine@tootinthomastoys.co.uk

we will then be able to see whether your items will go into a large "Jiffy" bag or will need to go into a box. We will then get them weighed and give you a more accurate postage quote.

Please Note when no postal charge is displayed the buyer should contact Christine@tootinthomastoys.co.uk upon which you will recieve a postal charge estimate.

When your parcel travels by air or sea we are charged not only for the weight of your parcel but the amount of space that parcel takes up on the boat/plane. In order to charge correctly for the weight and size of your items, carriers have developed an international volume to weight calculation.

For example:

A parcel weighing 10 kilos or less in actual weight would travel on our under 10 kilo service, but only if the ‘volumetric weight’ was also less than 10 kilos. However, if for example, you have a parcel that weighs less than 10 kilos in actual weight but has dimensions of 19 x 18 x 17 inches the ‘volumetric weight’ of this parcel comes to 15.9 dimensional kilos and would have to travel on our under 25 kilos service instead (or next equivalent service up).
